This year’s plunge will be held on Saturday, February 26 at Tim’s Rivershore Restaurant in Dumfries, VA. Registration and check in will begin at 10 am and the plunge itself will start at 2:30 pm. Just as in previous years, any money raised by a participant that indicates “Area 23” on the registration form will go directly back to the area. Since it is a fun party atmosphere and because parking is a challenge, we encourage people to come EARLY. More information about the event can be found here: http://www.polarplunge.com/View/Page/Tims_Rivershore_Polar_Plunge To register for the event use this link: http://www.firstgiving.com/process/raisemoney/default.asp?did=41733&skip=home Please make sure everyone knows that when you register online there are questions that you will have to answer (ie name, t-shirt size etc). One will be “Name of Special Olympics Program if Applicable”. That is where you should indicate that you are part of Area 23. Doing so is the only way I’ll know to mark those funds for that area and not for SOVA in general. Also, if anyone is looking to help out for the day with registration etc, please let me know! I could use a handful of good volunteers.
