Response from a Volunteer

Thank you Danielle!  I have to say that volunteering on Saturday [May 17, 2008] was the most inspirational thing I have ever seen.  These athletes are truly remarkable in their ability and spirit.  It was truly touching to see how excited they were about competing and how close the Special Olympics family is.  I only wish I could have seen more of the track and field events take place.  My mom, who was also volunteering, said that she got choked up a few times when she saw how much heart the athletes put into their events.  Please let me know if there are any other volunteer opportunities in Prince William County.  I would love to be a part of this!
